userchfn

Name

userchfn — Clinet for changing the gecos field of an user's account on a cluster of passwdd hosts.
userchfn [<target>] [<user>] [-c <file>] [-f <full name>]
         [-r <room number>] [-w <work phone>]
         [-h <home phone>] [-o <other>]

DESCRIPTION

With the userchfn utility you can modify the account of an user on cluster of passwdd hosts. The client connects with each server specified in passwdc.conf and sends a request for modification of the user's gecos field. Note, that each user can modify her own gecos data, with the only exception of the other field that can be modified only by an administrator.

The first argument of the command is the login name of the user whose account you want to modify. If omitted, the account of the currently logged user is subject of modification. You may want to send the request not as the user who is currently logged on. In such case you should explicitly specify a user name as the second argument of the userchfn command.
